- › Leadership. Managed ten staff, including managers. Implemented agile practices and ceremonies to ensure effective project delivery. Led two teams of staff an additional two teams of contractors, with applications in .NET, Ember.js, Elixir, and Ruby.
- › Industry Impact. Led the development of Market View, impacting the education sector and empowering private schools to navigate the recession. The platform was praised by industry leaders and taught at Vanderbilt and the Erdmann Institute.
- › Innovation and Open Source. Created Conrex, NAIS's first open-source contribution, written in Elixir to generate isochrones for GIS features. Shipped data integrations with the most popular campus admissions systems, replacing the slow process of formatting and uploading spreadsheets.

- › Engineering Vision. Built the first engineering team at NAIS, hired and managed developers. Collaborated with stakeholders across the organization to set up budgets, communication strategies, marketing plans, and product roadmaps. Led the successful development and deployment of a data visualization and analytics platform, using Elixir/Phoenix and Ember.js.
- › Security and DevOps. Authored an article on application security, implemented CI/CD pipelines, traffic and database encryption, and DevOps practices, and brought in external auditors, and worked to improve applications to an A+ security grade.
- › API and Process Optimization. Architected and deployed a scalable API using Ruby on Roda, successfully integrating with a legacy Microsoft Dynamics 2011 server. Streamlined data access and reduced schools’ 30-minute update process to five minutes, significantly improving operational efficiency for schools and internal staff.
- › Infrastructure and Performance. Implemented Cloudflare across dozens of domains, managing DNS and security to ensure security and optimal performance for all applications.

- › Innovation. Drove the design, development, and launch of the groundbreaking Accreditation Portal, the first app to accredit California schools online, handling all aspects of frontend, backend, and design.

Designed, built, and managed IT infrastructure, including developing an SFTP server and managing Google Apps for seamless collaboration. Secured a Google Apps for Education grant, reducing costs significantly. Additionally, oversaw the technical setup and execution of A/V systems for multiple yearly conferences, ensuring flawless presentations and a professional attendee experience.
